This forum we are on now is actually a free forum but they allow one month of what's called Gold Community Service. That is what we are on right now.
I have until May 9th I believe before the Gold community membership expires. After that we will be seeing advertisments either at teh top of the forums or
below them. We have two options.
1. Let teh gold status run out and tolerate the advertisments
2. or I can pay for a certain length of time to keep the gold status. As far as forums go, the gold status is very reasonable given all the perks this forum
comes with, not to mention live support and support forum for forum owners. The look after all the back in work with the servers and such.
I need everyone's opinon on this as this is your forum. I can either pay for 1 month at a time or 3 months or a year. The board is also set up so
contributors can make a donation that goes directly to yuku to pay for the gold status account. .
Please voice your opinion.. good or bad so we know what direction you want to go :).

Hard one....
Will we loose features to the forum and just gain advertisements? Or loose features and gain advertisements? If second, and it a lot of features, then maybe pay and put up pay point so people can help pay. And do it monthly.... i mean no one has a clue really how long other site is going to be down.... if it returns at all... but if it does... it be anoying to have sorted out this one for so long and then loose out cause you paid and other opens..... is you go for keeping gold.... put pay point up.... we would like to help..... Actually.. see teh link at teh very top of teh forum on the index page that says Contribute Now? That's is the way yuku uses to accept payments for
communities from a communities members.
We might loose some features but if I remmeber correctly they shouldn't affect the performance. guess there's only one way to find out :P. |

We have to wait till friday though.... cause wont take our norm bank card... so have to trabsfere to other card.... and need mate to help us do that.... but we going bank friday for other reasons to.... and it not that bad a price per month.... cheaper to do blocks.... but its weather it is worth doing blocks of months!!!! And if we did come off gold......... can we go back on gold????

I think that's fair.. we can see what it's like off gold status. if we don't like it we can always go back to gold.. that's actually a good
idea.

Fairy I think what she means is do you guy's have to use teh payment system on yuku.? You can pay yuku by using paypal. There is a link to paypal when you want to pay. I think it is safer to do it this way because you know teh paymenmt is going to teh forums and not to me to use for anything else. I cannot take the money out of the account.. it will stay with this forum, so it's pretty safe. You will at least know where your money is going. :). |

we only have our 2 bank acounts. it have to come out out loydsTSB acount as that card it acsepts.
