Figured I'd stop in and bring you more upto date with whats happening
Its been an odd old month for SFH but.. we may well just be getting back on track ;)
www.supportforhealing.com was opened in 2004 following a dream of 2 dear people - Zafu & Beck (luvmycritters) and with the support of a group of friends inc myself Nala & Simby.
SFH was and always will be a free (and hopefully free from adverts) forum that offers peer to peer support on a range of topics many of which are triggered by Mental Health issues - SFH was originally started for those with Anxiety & Depression but has grown to cover many other topics since opening its doors as the need has arrisen.
Moving slightly forward.. In 2005 Zafu & Myself discovered Secondlife and not long after Zaf's dream of a virtual island to help support people was born which even resulted in the island and Zafu being on UK TV in 2006.
Reaching 2007 and sadly zafu's financial position wasn't as it was when SFH opened its doors and as a result the Island has been fighting to remain In world due to the heavy monthly costs of the tier etc... and now in 2008 the yearly domain and hosting renewal sadly ran out before anything could be done to fix it.
Which brings me to today...
Many people have been left wondering where they stand and where SFH is going and even if it will be back so here I am to show you as part of the SFH family just whats happening behind those tightly closed doors and include you guys so your as upto date as we are.
Yesterday payment was made to SupaNames for a years hosting and application was made today to transfer the supportforhealing.com site to SupaNames on their years Venture package which allows for plenty of storage space etc..
the response so far is: Thank you: An activation request for supportforhealing.com has been sent to our transfers department
This can take 24-48hrs and from there we will attempt contact with the relevant people to access their last backup of the SFH server before the site went down.
Its not been an easy time for any of the SFH family and I hope that you will continue to support each other.
As we know more we will add to it here and HOPEFULLY we'll be able to get the old work back if not which is a small if - we will endevour to work our rear ends off to make SFH a place to be called home again!
Specky x
